A perk of being back in my parent's house is being able to dig through old family photos. While I traveled down memory lane, I came across some old Memorial Garden pictures where I look pretty close to Ramsey's age. Just thought I would share the fun...enjoy!

9 months old
My sweet baby boy is 9 months old today. I am honored and amazed to watch him grow every single day. It's an indescribable feeling to look into his eyes and watch as he figures out the world around him. He has had a rough cough in the middle of the night the past few nights which has allowed him to sleep in between mama and dada. Although it's hard to get much sleep with his little feet kicking me in the head or his baby fingers scratching at my back, it opens us up to the opportunity to have him wake us up in the morning. This has become one of my favorite things. Bright and early I start to hear him stir, then make his first noise. Next he pushes up and starts to roll around on my stomach and face giving me kisses and loudly say "ma ma". It is by far just the sweetest. Once he gets up mama he quickly moves onto dada. We then all cuddle together and just soak up all his baby love. Needless to say, these past 9 months have been the best I have ever experienced and I feel so blessed to have him.

Navigating The Madness
This past week has been somewhat of a headache. Last week we moved what I planned to be all of our stuff except our kitchen and bedroom so we could continue to stay in the house for a bit longer. Once the floors in the new house were finished we could go ahead and box up the last little bit of our old home and start our next chapter in our new one. Too bad my husband had different plans.
We now are split between living in three houses. Our dogs watch over our old house until the new fence goes up, our new house holds all of our belongings (including most of my clothes...), and we are at my parents house until the floors are finished next week. I have to admit though, it is interesting to be back in my bedroom from high school with everything mainly as I left it. I still stand by my poster of Gone With The Wind but I slightly regret The Fast and the Furious poster. Ah to be young...
Needless to say, that with all of the chaos of moving it has been a rough few days. I appreciate my parents hospitality, but of course without our own space and many more opinions, we have all had a few more blow ups than usual. It has especially been a battle between me and my husband over the little things. So it was much to my surprise tonight when he showed up with pearl earrings and my favorite treat from the local chocolatier. He had no idea how much I needed that thoughtful moment and because of that I had to brag on him.
I'm sure this next week will also bring a few more fights and disagreements, but as I lay here with my sleeping baby tucked in bed between me and my loving husband, it all seems perfect.

Memorial Gardens
This past weekend we took a little break from all of the house renovation madness and snuck away for a mini photo shoot at one of my favorite places, Memorial Gardens. On numerous occasions throughout my childhood, my mother would get us all dressed in our "Sunday best" and run over to take pictures when the tulips were in bloom. So of course now that I have a child, I was very excited to force the same tradition on him and my unsuspecting husband. Luckily, my older sister was also excited to do the same thing so we had our own little photographer, which allowed for a few family shots and of course the cutest little cousin pictures of all the boys together.
Note to self: in the future plan to take two trips to the garden, one to actually enjoy the scenery and two to battle the other families for the best background for your pictures. Show no mercy.

The Millers
On June 4, 2011, one girl and one boy said "I do" and began their journey of marriage. Five months and two dogs later, that same girl became pregnant and the family of two soon became a sweet little family of three...known as "The Millers".
Although my younger brother claims that I should keep my diary "off the internet," I have still decided to take the big plunge into the world of blogging. Now that our baby boy is growing (and very quickly might I add) we have decided it was time to also grow our house. This blog will be a peek into the memories we will make in our new home as we decorate, create, grow and of course capture it all of film. Wish us luck!
love,
The Millers
