Parade Day

I started to write this post to reminisce on the Christmas parade and the kick off to the holidays... however, when I started flipping through Ramsey's pictures, my heart just melted. We gave our little baby his very first hair cut today and my mind is just blown. Every day he grows bigger, stronger, and more intelligent. I'm in awe of how he just soaks up each and every thing he sees and hears. Even when he may seem like he is in his own little world, he will just stop out of the blue and repeat the last word I just said...amazing. It is truly the grandest feeling to feel like his sidekick in all of his great adventures. I know he will grow more and more and that dreaded day will come where mom is no longer the coolest, but to be his best friend in this moment is all I could ask for. Moments like this I feel like the most blessed woman in the world.

Halloween

I may be a little late, but here are some pictures from our spoooooky Halloween! Lets just say once the costume went on, Ramsey could not be slowed down! Lots and lots of running and candy eating and of course an overwhelming amount of chaos! All and all it was a perfect Halloween. It didn't hurt either that I successfully made Ramsey's Max from "Where the Wild Things Are" costume. One proud momma over here :)

A Perfect Fall Day

Today was a lovely day. There was a slight chill in the air (plus a little drizzle), warm sweaters, lots of horses, and even more pumpkins. That's right, it was our annual pumpkin patch day!

This year we visited a new farm in Charlotte and it was perfect for Ramsey's age. Lots of room to run and lots of hay bails to climb. Also a cute little section of farm animals which Ramsey couldn't get enough of. Ramsey even rode a horse...for about 30 seconds until he panicked and tried to dive into my arms (no big deal). Nevertheless it was a wonderful experience!

I was also quite excited this year to actually get to pick our pumpkins out of field, but of course that meant for a dirt covered Ramsey by the end of the trip. Still, we wiped the dust off and loaded up the car with three extra passengers (aka our future jack-o-lanterns).

Of course we took lots of pictures the entire time, so here are a few of my favorites.

Growing So Fast

This perfect little girl is already two weeks old! Love you my sweet Vivi!

Welcome Everly

Precious baby girl surprised all of us and made her appearance three weeks early this morning! Welcome Everly Rachel Lockavitch! It is always a blessing to have a new baby in the family but even more exciting to have the first Lockavitch baby of the siblings! She has no choice but to be showered with love and affection. It doesn't hurt that she is absolutely beautiful!

Very exciting also that these pretty girls are only two weeks apart!

An Outfit For My Sweet Babe

Last Christmas I asked for a sewing machine. I had grand plans of sewing myself dresses and skirts and making many many cute little things for my little one. It may have only taken me almost a year to really get going, but I have finally made my first outfit for Ramsey! It's not perfect, but it is complete. The fact that I used an actual pattern is mind blowing to me.

Up until this point, I had really just sewn straight lines (curtains, blankets, etc. ) but now I'm moving on up in the world of sewing! I'm sure all mothers to little boys join me in the stress of finding sweet little things for their sons to wear, especially something on a budget. My hope is that I will be able to not only make him outfits from patterns but also make him a few unique pieces that aren't available to little boys out there. It's definitely a market geared to little girls, which I'm sure I will enjoy one day if I have a daughter, but until then, I need to find a different way to dress my little man.

Of course I had to snap a few pictures of my little one wearing the finished product. It's a little boxy once I tried it on him, so I'm contemplating a few adjustments on the sides. Enjoy!

A Gift For My Niece

Any day now our family will be growing and a beautiful baby girl will enter this world. Right now she is safe and sound inside a very tired and slowly paced sister of mine. I had the honor of making her bumper for her crib. I can't wait for her to be snuggled up safe and sound, but this time in her crib where I can "Ooo" and "Ah" over her pretty little self.

A little bath time

Like clock work, this baby of mine constantly requests a bath after every meal. His loud southern voice may just be the sweetest sound I've ever heard. Needless to say, I had to capture a few moments in his favorite location. Enjoy!
